PCB names women probables for WI tour

KARACHI: Pakistan Cricket Board’s Women Wing on Monday announced the probables to take part in preparatory training camp before the series against West Indies.
Pakistan will play four One-day Internationals and similar number of T20s in their Caribbean tour, that will start from August 24 and will conclude on September 13. The training Camp will be held from August 12-24 at the Country Club Muridke in Lahore.
22 probables will be attending the training camp out of which 14 member squad will be announced later. The players who have been initially named are Sana Mir, Javeria Wadood, Syeda Nain Fatima Abidi, Bismah Maroof, Syeda Batool Fatima Naqvi, Nida Rashid, Asmavia Iqbal Khokhar, Qanita Jalil, Marina Iqbal, Masooma Junaid Farooqi, Sadia Yousaf, Rabiya Shah, Sana Gulzar, Sidra Amin, Kainat Imtiaz, Nahida Bibi, Namra Imran, Faryal Awan, Areeb Shamaim, Sania Iqbal, Marriam Hassan Shah and Zeba Manzoor Hussain.
Meanwhile, Pakistan team manager Ayesha Ashar told ‘The News’ that team will be practising under coach Mansoor Rana in the camp. There were reports that the women team wanted a lady coach to look after them. But Ayesha said that these reports were false and an interview of skipper Sana Mir was misquoted.
