Spot-fixing hearing underway
LONDON: The hearing of the corruption case against three Pakistani players involved in spot fixing is underway, Pakistani News Channel reported.
Mohammed Aamir and Mohammed Asif along with their lawyers were present at the Crown Court in London. Salman Butt’s lawyer is representing him while he is absent from the hearing.
Mazhar Majeed is also present at the hearing. Justice Cook is conducting the hearing which will last for two days.
During proceedings the lawyers of the players stated that the case against them should be dropped.
The trio were found to be involved in spot fixing during Pakistans tour to England and were banned from playing cricket.
