Mohsin Khan hopes players will learn from coaches
KARACHI: Pakistan chief selector Mohsin Khan on Wednesday said that he is currently busy in the Fast-track Programme phase-I, underway at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore but would try to visit the regions for their teams’ selection.
“I would try to take some time out to visit the regions but right now I am working in a national level camp. If I don’t get time to travel, then my coordinators will look after the country wide selection,” Mohsin told ‘The News’ on Wednesday.
Khan, a former Test player, has been working as a batting consultant with players and feels that the camp is going well but the end result would depend on how well the players learn from coaches.
“We can only tell them what is right and what is wrong but at the end of the day it depends on a player, whether he adopts the things told by the coaches or not,” he added.
Meanwhile, Mohsin said that he has especially asked the NCA management to invite domestic season’s best batsman Rameez Raja Jr, who was placed in the phase-II with the spinners and all-rounders.
