England And India To Mark Milestone Of 100 Tests

England and India will meet in a Test match for the 100th time when their four-match series gets underway at Lord's and the occasion will be marked before the start of play.
The two national boards (ECB and BCCI) will exchange mementoes and present former England and India players with a commemorative cap during a ceremony on the third day.
This will come after a parade of of past players including Sir Ian Botham, Bob Willis, Nasser Hussain, Ravi Shastri and Sourav Ganguly.
"We are very keen to make the 100th Test Match a great occasion for everyone and give spectators an opportunity to pay tribute to those players whose performances have graced previous contests between the two countries.
"We are grateful to BCCI and the MCC for their co-operation in staging this series of presentations. It is fitting that this match will feature the Test sides ranked first and third in the world and we look forward to an exciting npower Test Series."

It is a momentous occasion and I join cricket-lovers in both countries in hailing all the players and administrators who have enlivened the India-England cricketing rivalry over the decades. Test matches between India and England have been keenly fought over the years, and we are poised to witness an exciting series."
