Noureen, Ramin star in U19 tourney
KARACHI: Noureen Afsar produced a stunning all-round display to lead Zone-II to an emphatic 97-run win over Zone-IV in their KCCA Girls Medicam Trophy (U19) match at the KCCA stadium here on Wednesday.
Batting first, Zone-II amassed 142 for one in 20 overs. Noureen Afsar (53*) scored a fine unbeaten half-century with the help of four boundaries. Ramin Shamim contributed with 16.
In reply, Zone-IV bundled out for 45 in just 12.3 overs. Noureen and Ramin both starred with the ball as well returning with figures of 3-2 and 3-8 respectively.
Zone-IV had to play two matches on the day and in their earlier match they defeated Zone-VII by six wickets at the same venue in the morning session.
